CLASSROOM
ARRANGEMENT- Rooms are divided into carefully
labeled work areas to allow children to find materials
independently and return them after use. Environments
are equipped to meet the specific needs of each age
group.
ACTIVE
LEARNING (Work Time) - Children choose
their own activities using a wide variety of materials
which stimulate learning and creativity.
SMALL
GROUP ACTIVITIES - Teachers plan experiences
in specific skill areas such as language, art and
math. These activities promote problem solving and
logical reasoning.
DAILY
ROUTINE - A consistent daily routine allows
children to plan, carry out and review activities,
encouraging them to develop their own interests, talents
and goals.
MUSIC
AND MOVEMENT - Balance, coordination and
strength are developed through activities we created
using the Jack Capon Psychomotor Program. Each director
tailors the program to the needs of the individual
schools, with the creative input of teachers.
