Directors play
a crucial role
. . . they insure our goals are accomplished each day.
Although administrators
are in-training for the first twelve months, they should already possess
the following background and qualities:
-
Ideally
a four-year college degree, preferably in education and.or extensive
E.C.E. administrative experience (or the equivalent).
-
-
The organizational
skills needed to create and maintain quality programs within budget
guidelines.
-
-
The ability
to be proactive in resolving issues and to communicate effectively
with staff and parents.
Directors join
the Administrative Team, helping to create policies, procedures, and
program goals for their campuses and the organization as a whole.
- After successfully
completing the training process, a director has considerable autonomy
in terms of how she/he utilizes resources within their school.
-
- An atmosphere of
team work prevails where the Program Coordinator and Executive
Director assist Directors, and all Directors actively support
each other.
